Representatives of Bracell and the City of Botucatu at a ceremony to formalize the partnership to strengthen the conservation of the Cachoeira da Marta Park through the One-To-One Commitment Bracell Collection Bracell and the City of Botucatu officially included the Cachoeira da Marta Municipal Natural Park in the One-To-One Commitment, an initiative through which the company supports the conservation of one hectare of native forest for each hectare of eucalyptus planted. With approximately 20 hectares, the Cachoeira da Marta Municipal Natural Park is a strategic environmental heritage of Botucatu, inserted in the Atlantic Forest biome and associated with the Cuesta region. The area plays a role in protecting springs and the Córrego da Roseira, with connectivity between forest fragments and centrality in the preservation of native fauna and flora. The park's inclusion in the One-To-One Commitment reinforces Bracell's integrated operations in the region's landscape, considering its environmental connection with areas under the company's management, in particular, Fazenda Nova América II. The initiative contributes to expanding gains in biodiversity and protecting water resources. The partnership, initially scheduled for two years, foresees investments in actions to prevent and combat forest fires, infrastructure improvements and support for technical studies to update the conservation unit's management plan. Investments in biodiversity conservation At first, the resources will be allocated to the implementation and maintenance of firebreaks, donation of equipment to combat forest fires and training of local brigades. These measures are considered important to reduce threats of degradation and protect native vegetation. The partnership also provides support for the park's infrastructure and the carrying out of technical studies that support the updating of the management plan, strengthening the planning and management of the unit. The next actions will be defined jointly between Bracell and Botucatu City Hall, aligned with the park's priorities and its management plan, ensuring that investments meet the unit's most urgent needs. "Botucatu has an environmental heritage of enormous value, and the preservation of these spaces depends on the union between public authorities, the private sector and society. This partnership strengthens the conservation work of Cachoeira da Marta, expands our fire prevention capacity and contributes to ensuring that this important natural heritage remains protected for current and future generations", highlighted Mayor Fabio Leite. In 2025, Bracell surpassed the goal of supporting the conservation of 230 thousand hectares of native forests in public areas, reaching 301 thousand hectares in conservation units in the states of São Paulo, Bahia and Mato Grosso do Sul.
