In the Lagos Region, Cabo Frio had the lowest result among the municipalities analyzed in the final years. Iguaba Grande reached 5.3; Casimiro de Abreu and Arraial do Cabo recorded 4.8; São Pedro da Aldeia and Rio das Ostras obtained 4.7; and Búzios got 4.2. Casimiro de Abreu and Rio das Ostras reached 6.2; São Pedro da Aldeia obtained 6.0; Búzios recorded 5.8; and Arraial do Cabo reached 5.6. In a note, the Cabo Frio Education Department stated that the results must be analyzed within a historical context, because they reflect the performance of the municipal network over the years. The department acknowledged that the index for the final years is still below expectations. The secretariat reported that it carries out actions to restore learning, pedagogical monitoring, diagnostic assessments and continued training of professionals. According to the ministry, the measures are part of medium and long-term planning to improve learning and indicators in the next cycles.
