Bus invades restaurant, runs over and kills manager in the North of SC Fire Department/Disclosure A bus invaded a restaurant in Papanduva, in the North of Santa Catarina, on Wednesday night (5), and hit the 33-year-old manager of the establishment, who died at the scene. In addition to her, a 62-year-old passenger and the bus driver, 65, needed to be taken to the hospital. According to information from the Fire Department, the victim was pressed against the protective wall. Despite treatment, she did not survive her injuries. When the firefighters arrived, it was necessary to stabilize the scene of the accident, as the impact of the crash broke the protective wall and the access wall to the restaurant (see above). A civil engineer was called to assess the safety of the site and recommended the installation of temporary wooden supports on the damaged pillars to minimize the risk of collapse. The location was isolated for forensic examination. Victims taken to hospital The bus driver was found inside the restaurant badly shaken and had to be taken to Hospital São Sebastião; A passenger reported to the firefighters the sensation of a foreign body in her left eye, after being hit by flying glass.
