After rescuing the victims, firefighters identified an imminent risk of collapse of part of the structure and contacted Civil Defense, city hall engineers and social assistance. "The house was under construction and, as a precaution, we carried out a sweep with four dogs throughout the place. None of them indicated the presence of other victims. We are now evaluating the structure," explained the officer. According to the captain, the risk is not limited to the affected property. "We verified that the entire block is at imminent risk of falling. Therefore, we activated engineering and social assistance to assist families who will not be able to return to their homes today," he stated. The area remains completely isolated and the street has been closed.
