Pet daycare holds arraiá with costume 'dogcourse' in SC The arraiá atmosphere arrived at a daycare for dogs in Içara, in the south of Santa Catarina. The competition started at a high level on Monday (20): the "escãolar" bus picked up dogs dressed as saints in the chapel, the "bafinho" tent, cangaceiros and even dressed as corn. The costume contest at businessman André Bressan's daycare center works like this: Every day of the week, students go to the daycare center in costume. At the end of each day, the team chooses a winner. The five champions of the week compete for the final vote on the institution's social networks, where followers choose the best costume. "It's the 'moms and dads' who prepare the costumes, get in the mood. It's been a month since the guys have been producing costumes and so on, to make this week wonderful. We have around 300 students passing through here throughout the week, and a good portion of them are well dressed", commented Bressan. Among the costumes is that of the dog Snipe, who has paralysis in her back legs. The structure with wheels used to facilitate movement was adapted to look like a small chapel, bringing to life the fantasy of "Saint Narceja of Assisi". The daycare center went viral on social media for the first time in 2023, when videos of the bus that André uses to transport the animals spread across the web. At the time, he told g1 that he considers his work "one of the best in the world". The businessman has been in the business for over 13 years, and already had cars and vans to transport animals before arriving on buses. Before the service was offered, Bressan made adaptations to bring safety to the animals, such as specific seat belts and expanded seats.
