As he needed to undergo surgery in a specialized hospital outside of Rio Claro, he was awaiting transfer, but his health deteriorated and suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest last Wednesday (15), when he was one month old. Santa Casa reported that all cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers were started immediately and carried out for approximately 45 minutes, following the protocols of the Brazilian Society of Pediatrics. He was then sent to another sector to wait for the body to be removed by the institution chosen by the family. Approximately two hours after the death was confirmed, the person appointed by the family noticed the presence of vital signs and immediately contacted the hospital team. The newborn was reevaluated, readmitted to the Neonatal ICU and returned to intensive care. On Friday morning (17), the baby was transferred to the Hospital for Rehabilitation of Cranio-Facial Anomalies at the University of São Paulo (USP), known as Centrinho, in Bauru (SP), using a space that was already waiting for continued treatment.
