This Tuesday (23), the Araucária Workers' Agency and the Municipal Department of Labor and Employment (SMTE) began operating in a new headquarters, located in the central area of ??the municipality, in front of the Júlio Szymanski State College. The new building will not generate any costs for the municipality, as the rent, electricity and internet will be paid for by the State Government, in recognition of the excellent results presented by the Secretariat in generating jobs. In September last year and January this year, for example, the Araucária unit was the one that filled the most vacancies among the 235 Worker Agencies in Paraná – even ahead of the capital, which has a population 12 times larger. The inauguration of the space took place this Tuesday morning (23) and represents another step forward in strengthening public policies aimed at generating employment, income and professional qualifications. With the change, the old property can be used exclusively for training activities, expanding the offer of courses to the population. Professional qualification During the event, an investment of approximately R$2 million in professional qualification programs was also announced. Of this total, around R$1.5 million will be allocated to more than 100 courses through the Qualifica Araucária Program, covering areas such as health, technology, administration and industry. Another R$400,000 will be invested in programs developed in partnership with the Federation of Industries of the State of Paraná (Fiep).
