Amapá short film 'Solo Agridoce' is selected for film festival in SP

Identity and ancestry Launched in November 2025, the experimental short was produced by a mostly female team and financed with resources from the Paulo Gustavo Law, through the Amapá State Department of Culture (Secult-AP). Narrated by quilombola and urban women, the film covers traditional territories such as Curiaú, Maruanum, Mazagão and Macapá to portray ancestral knowledge, resistance and black female orality in the state. It's an opportunity to make our culture reach even further through cinema", highlighted the film's director of photography, Halyson Chaves. The Santos Film Fest festival takes place between the 18th and 26th of August, in several cultural spaces in Baixada Santista, in São Paulo.
