It is also recommended to avoid staying close to trees that show signs of instability, especially after storms. Cold front caused the storm According to meteorologist Ruibran Reis, the storm recorded in Governador Valadares was caused by the cold front that arrived in Minas Gerais last Sunday (12). According to him, centers of instability formed along the cold front and caused the most intense rains in municipalities in the East and Northeast regions of the state. According to the meteorologist, the weather is expected to remain quite cloudy in the Rio Doce, Jequitinhonha and Mucuri valleys until Thursday (16), due to the humidity coming from the Atlantic Ocean. There is a possibility of drizzle this Tuesday (14), but the cloudiness tends to gradually decrease from Wednesday (15). Ruibran also reported that temperatures should remain mild until Friday (17), due to the polar air mass and cloud cover. The forecast is for temperatures to rise between Friday (17) and the weekend.
