The suspect is at large. The case was registered as attempted murder at the Araraquara Sectional Police Station. The victim underwent surgery and remains hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Santa Casa de Araraquara, this Friday (7). According to the General Investigations Department (DIG), the couple was arguing on the street, when for unknown reasons, the woman grabbed a knife and hit her partner with several blows. According to the investigation, the knife belonged to the victim, but the woman took possession of the object during the argument. Also according to the DIG, the couple were drug users.

According to the Public Security Secretariat (SSP), military police officers were called by the Military Police Operations Center (Copom) to respond to an incident of aggression. Witnesses told police that the couple were arguing when the disagreement escalated into aggression. During the fight, the woman allegedly used a knife to strike her partner several times and then fled. When the police arrived at the scene, the victim had already been rescued by the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) and taken to Santa Casa de Araraquara.
