The court ordered preventive detention due to the severity of the injuries the child suffered. The woman did not attend the boy's wake. At the scene, rescuers found the child dead.

The body was then sent for autopsy, and experts found that the cause of death was head trauma. Thus, it was ruled out that the boy had choked. "This child also had several marks of aggression on his body, recent and old, and also some burn marks," says the delegate. The police are investigating the case as ill-treatment, aggravated by death. "We had a day of investigation, we have already heard from a lot of people, but we continue with the investigations. We now have ten days to conclude and better understand all this dynamic. But so far, based on the elements we have had until yesterday [Friday], we think it is opportune to request this arrest", he explains.
