Brazil lost 2-1 to Norway and said goodbye to the World Cup. Still in the first half, when the game was tied without goals, Bruno wasted a penalty kick.
In the publication, the number 8 stated that he tried to write the message several times before publishing it and said that he could not appear only in moments of victory.
"I've written and deleted so many times that I've lost count. I was always present here during victories, nothing more fair than introducing myself and not running away from talking to you in defeat", he wrote.
The player classified the elimination as the saddest day of his life. According to him, returning home also brought a reflection on his relationship with football.
“The craziest thing about all this was coming home after the saddest day of my life and the first thing my children said, when I woke up, was: ‘Daddy, let’s play football?’. And here I understood that, regardless of bad or good days, football will always be my great love”, he published.
Bruno also stated that he does not intend to hide from criticism and recognized his share of responsibility for the result.
“I assume my responsibility, as I have always done, and it would not be any different now”, he added.
