Jão releases his fifth studio album, 'Memórias Póstumas', at 9pm on Sunday, July 26th Hugo Comte / Disclosure ? NEWS ? “Memórias Póstumas” is the title of Jão's fifth studio album. Scheduled for release at 9pm on Sunday, July 26th, the album was preceded by marketing actions – such as the airing of a teaser during the interval of the soap opera “Quem ama fale” (TV Globo) – to promote the singer-songwriter's return to the scene after a hiatus that left him reclusive at the end of the tour for his previous album “Super” (2023). With no previously released singles, the album “Memórias Póstumas” brings together Jão with usual collaborators, such as Pedro Tófani, the artist's partner in eight of the 14 new songs that make up the essentially authorial repertoire of the album recorded under the direction of Jão himself. The eight songs from Jão and Tófani's partnership are “Catedral”, “O amor”, “Aurora”, “Por você”, “Literatura”, “Eu semper volto”, “Tudo me remembra” and “Coincidências”. Alone, Jão writes the songs “Jabuticabeira”, “O architect”, “Curioso”, “Passeios nocturnes” and the title track “Memórias Póstumas”. Pedro Tófani is the lone author of “João”, the only song without Jão’s signature. The singer is responsible for the musical production of the 14 tracks on the album “Memórias Póstumas”, but shares credits with Zebu on nine tracks. Gabriel Duarte, Janluska and Mazzola are also part of the team of producers for the album mixed by Guigo Berguer, João Milliet and Jão. Mastering was handled by Fili Filizzola.
