On August 18, Fran Gil releases the single with two new songs from the original repertoire of the solo album 'Onda' Reproduction / Instagram Fran Gil ? NEWS ? Fran Gil announced the arrival of her second solo album, “Onda”, while celebrating the birthday of her mother, Preta Gil (1974 – 2025), who would have turned 52 this Saturday, August 8. Successor to the already distant album “Raiz” (2020) in Fran Gil’s solo discography, “Onda” will be promoted before the release with a double single scheduled for August 18th with the original songs “Reconstruir” and “Mancha de dendê”. In a marketing action similar to that adopted by the group Gilsons when releasing their second studio album, “I see light in greater proportion than I see darkness” (2026), the singer and composer from Rio de Janeiro will immediately present two songs of different, but complementary strains in the thematic and musical universe of the album “Onda”. “Reconstruir” is a song built on synthesizers by Rodrigo Tavares. “Mancha de dendê” is based on the percussion of Kainã do Jêje, co-producer of the track. Francisco Gil revealed the existence of the solo album and the double single when talking on social media about the trip to India that he had planned to take with Preta, but which, due to circumstances, he ended up doing alone in the year 2026. "(There in India) We made a film for my second solo album. The last one you heard. The last songs of mine you heard when I was still here. I took these songs to the world with me, before letting them go to the world alone", wrote Fran, about from the repertoire of the album “Onda”, in a posthumous message to his mother Preta Gil on social media.
