Raquel Lyra has 45% and João Campos, 39% in the dispute in Pernambuco, points out Genial/Quaest

Genial/Quaest research on the electoral scenario in Pernambuco released this Tuesday, 28th, shows that governor Raquel Lyra (PSD) surpassed the voting intentions of the former mayor of Recife João Campos (PSB) in the second round. Raquel is numerically ahead of Campos in a technical draw scenario at the limit of the survey's margin of error.

In the first round, Raquel registered 43% voting intention in the stimulated survey, and João Campos, 37%. Camila Falcão (UP), Ivan Moraes (PSOL) and Renan Hallais (Missão) have 1% each. The undecided number is 11%, and 6% will vote blank or invalid or will not vote at all.

In the second round simulation, Raquel Lyra registered 45% voting intention, and João Campos, 39%. The undecided number is 8%, and 8% say they will vote blank or null or will not vote at all. The governor grew seven percentage points since the previous round, in April, while Campos fell seven.

Even though Raquel is numerically ahead of the former mayor of Recife, the scenario is a technical tie at the limit of the margin of error, of three percentage points plus or minus.

Senate

Marília Arraes (PDT) leads voting intentions for the Senate. Humberto Costa (PT) appears in second place in the scenarios evaluated, but is tangled up with other names in the dispute, such as Mendonça Filho (PL), with whom he ties within the survey's margin of error.

Genial/Quaest carried out 900 home interviews with voters in Pernambuco between the 22nd and 26th of July. The margin of error is three percentage points, and the confidence level is 95%. The survey is registered with the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) under code PE-09649/2026.
