The measure obliges the public administration to immediately suspend all activities and services considered non-essential for the basic functioning of the system. Only issues related to national security, public health and emergency response remain operational. The current Financial Administration Law, in force in Argentina, stipulates that, in the absence of a budget approved at the beginning of the year, the previous year's budget law comes into force automatically to guarantee the uninterrupted functioning of the State and avoid the paralysis of public services due to the lack of political consensus.
