According to Ford, this condition ends up “increasing the risk of an accident with possible physical damage to vehicle occupants and third parties”. The reason for the possible defect is a programming error that can affect the operation of the wiper motor when the temperature reaches 0 degrees Celsius or below. “In this condition, the wipers may only work at high speed, and the windshield water nozzle may not work, without prior warning to the driver,” says Ford in a note.
