If approved, the measure will allow Caixa Econômica Federal to automatically deposit amounts into accounts linked to the FGTS. You will not need to make any request.
The distribution of the fund's results has become a recurring practice in recent years. In 2025, R$12.9 billion were transferred to shareholders, while in the previous year, the distribution totaled R$15.2 billion.
Who will receive the deposit?
All workers who had a balance in active or inactive accounts until December 31, 2025 will receive an amount. The calculation varies depending on the amount existing in the account until the last day of last year, that is, there is no fixed amount for all beneficiaries.
To estimate how much can be credited, the balance recorded at the end of 2025 must be multiplied by the index of 0.01868341, defined in the proposal presented to the Board of Trustees.
How can the worker check the amounts received?
Directly on the FGTS app, available on Google Play and App Store, or on Internet Banking Caixa, for bank customers. It is also possible to consult in person, at Caixa Econômica Federal branches.
Can the amounts received be withdrawn?
Yes, in the situations provided for in Law No. 8,036/1990, such as when purchasing your own home, in cases of calamity, serious illnesses and termination without just cause, among others. The appeal received does not form part of the basis for calculating the termination fine if the worker is dismissed without just cause.
What is the distribution of FGTS results?
It is an initiative created in 2016 that increases the basic annual profitability, of TR plus 3% per year, of workers' FGTS accounts, through the distribution of part of the profit from the fund's investments. The percentage to be distributed is defined by the FGTS Board of Trustees (CCFGTS).
The distribution of results is provided for in Law No. 13,446/2017.
Will workers who did not have their monthly deposits made by employers receive distribution of results?
The distribution is made according to the balance in workers' accounts on December 31 of the year in which the result was obtained. The current distribution, which takes place in 2026, will therefore take into account the balance recorded on the last day of 2025.
If the employer has not deposited the amounts due by the end of 2025, they will not be included in the calculation of the amount to be credited to the worker's account.
