Rural producers must redouble their attention in the coming days. The combination of three cyclones, a cold front and the strengthening of low-level jets is expected to cause severe storms and significant volumes of rain in southern Brazil, especially in Rio Grande do Sul, the main area under alert.
This Monday (27), the forecast indicates storms in the center-south of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, with a risk of tornadoes, microexplosions, hail and wind gusts exceeding 100 km/h. As the soil in soybean-producing areas already remains saturated from the rains of recent days, concerns about flooding, landslides, river overflows and floods are increasing, which could make work in the field difficult.
Until next weekend, the action of low-level jets should maintain instabilities over Rio Grande do Sul. Accumulations could exceed 200 millimeters and reach up to 300 millimeters in points in the center-south of the state.

In Santa Catarina and Paraná, the trend is for lower volumes of rain. Even so, both states remain on alert for storms, especially in the west and central-west regions, with the possibility of strong winds, hail and intense rain.
The forecast indicates that, as we move towards the month of August, the weather tends to improve in Santa Catarina and Paraná. However, Rio Grande do Sul will continue to be under the influence of new instabilities, keeping producers' attention.
Between Wednesday (29) and Thursday (30), a new cold front should advance through the interior of São Paulo and Mato Grosso do Sul, favoring the formation of new storms in these regions.
Early August
Between the 2nd and 8th of August, the rain gains strength again in Mato Grosso do Sul and the west of Mato Grosso. Despite the return of precipitation, the expectation is for less significant volumes than those predicted for the south of the country.
Meanwhile, the rest of Brazil remains under the influence of the heat. Temperatures can reach up to 40°C in areas of Mato Grosso, Tocantins and Goiás. In the North and Northeast, hot and dry weather continues to predominate, with rain occurring only on the coastal strip.
