She assesses that the specialized police station strengthens the protection and reception network for victims, but highlighted that combating violence against women requires much more. According to her, it is necessary to promote profound changes in society to break with a culture still marked by machismo and inequality. "We need to welcome and protect victims, offer conditions for them to rebuild their lives with autonomy and financial independence, educate our children in a culture of respect, expand women's participation in spaces of power and strengthen permanent public policies. Only in this way will we be able to move forward and build a safe society for all", he pointed out, through the consultancy.
The president of OAB-MT also highlighted that the main objective is to reach the day when cases of violence against women are no longer part of the news routine and noted the commitment of the president of the Lucas Subsection, Danusa Oneda, and the board of directors for the creation of the police station.
The police station was implemented by the State government and city hall with the support of the OAB of Lucas do Rio Verde, which provided, after signing an agreement with the city hall, the former headquarters of the OAB to install the police station. Governor Otaviano Pivetta and Mayor Miguel Vaz were at the ceremony.
