Civil Inquiry No. 007148-010/2026 was opened on July 4th by prosecutor Wagner Antonio Camilo, from the 2nd Civil Justice Prosecutor's Office of Rondonópolis.
According to the ordinance that initiated the investigation, the object of the investigation is “to determine the regularity of the process of adhesion to the price registry through which the MUNICIPAL CITY OF RONDONÓPOLIS contracted the supply of a kit with a textbook on inclusion, with emphasis on autism spectrum disorder (ASD), for the amount of R$ 3,864,000.00 (three million, eight hundred and sixty-four thousand reais)”.
The inquiry is another episode of the emblematic complaints about overpriced purchases of school materials by various municipal education bodies and even the State Department of Education (Seduc).
The State Audit Court (TCE) had already announced, at the beginning of the month, that it would also investigate teaching materials purchased by Rondonópolis City Hall and other municipalities.
