Governor Otaviano Pivetta (Republicans), on Wednesday (08), stated that Parque Novo Mato Grosso will have a structure suitable for hosting the best business fairs in the world and will change the state's history.

During the morning, Pivetta made a technical visit to the park with representatives from the Economic Development and Deputy Tourism departments. The Union of Hotels, Restaurants and Bars of Mato Grosso (SHRBS-MT) and the Tourist Trade also participated in the visitation.

With 300 hectares, the State Government built the park on the banks of the MT-251, which began to be built in 2021 and includes a lighted race track, a space for a show with one hundred thousand people, a kart track, a skatepark, a sports lake, parking, administrative blocks, a supply center and an international BMX track. The estimated budget to complete the structure exceeds R$1.5 billion.

"There will be one of the biggest and best business fairs in the world. I'm not exaggerating, because I know and I'm sure that Mato Grosso has a talent for this. We're going to bring the fairs and get them moving", he pointed out.

Pivetta also said he admired former governor Mauro Mendes (União) for planning such a grand structure capable of fostering the population's regional belonging.

"I often say that Mauro 'incorporated' [ex-president] Juscelino Kubitschek when he founded Brasília. I admire his ability to come up with something so grand, being his inspiration. This complex that is being built will change the history of Cuiabá. I have no doubt. It is necessary to encourage belonging, because this belongs to all the people of Mato Grosso", he added.

The governor guaranteed “doing his part” to attract investments and guarantee professional training events. He even mentioned having talked about partnership plans with the management of Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie.

"I'm going to do my part and strive to make this environment a place for doing business and professional qualifications. Yesterday I received Mackenzie's management and the people were delighted. This is just the beginning and we must have courage for a plan like this to be very bold", he assessed.

Pivetta concluded by saying that Parque Novo Mato Grosso is a legacy for state development.

"I'm sure that an extraordinary legacy is being left. In government, we pass and the state stays", he concluded.
