The meeting reinforced the importance of behavioral skills and financial planning as differentiators for those starting their professional career. The program included lectures by the Human Resources organizational consultant, Maceli Voltolini, and the Sicredi business analyst, Vitor Brandão.
Participants had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the challenges of early careers and how emotional balance, communication and professional posture contribute to performance in the workplace. The event also addressed topics related to conscious consumption, financial organization and building habits that contribute to a healthy financial life from the first salary.
For IEL MT Internship coordinator, Ana Paula Marques, the event complements the practical experience experienced by students in companies.
"The 'Internship in Practice' expands the training process of our students by addressing skills that make a difference in the day-to-day lives of organizations. In addition to professional experience, we want to prepare them to deal with challenges, develop emotional intelligence and build a solid career from the beginning", he pointed out.
Speaker Vitor Brandão addressed financial education
for participants According to Ana Paula, initiatives like this strengthen the role of IEL in training professionals who are more prepared for the demands of the job market and bring students, companies and specialists together in an environment of exchange of experiences.
When addressing emotional intelligence and professional behavior, Maceli Voltolini highlighted that technical knowledge is just one part of building a successful career. "Technical knowledge opens doors, but it is the behaviors that keep professionals in the market. Developing self-knowledge, emotional intelligence, communication and professional attitude allows young people to be more prepared to deal with the challenges of the work environment and build healthier relationships", he highlighted.
In the lecture on financial education, Vitor Brandão highlighted that the first step to managing money responsibly does not depend on the amount of income, but requires planning capacity.
"Financial education goes far beyond spreadsheets and numbers. It's about understanding one's own reality, defining objectives and making conscious choices. It doesn't matter how much a person earns, but what they do with this resource to build a more secure future", he assessed.
Organizational behavior was also one of the themes
addressed during the meeting Among the participating companies was Agro Amazônia, which took ten interns to monitor the activities. For Education and Development analyst, Thamiris Passarinho, the initiative complements the training offered by the university and practical experience within organizations.
"These meetings develop fundamental behavioral skills for the interns' professional growth. Furthermore, IEL's support throughout the internship process helps them to have more complete training and be prepared to take on new challenges within the company", he highlighted.
Young apprentice Matheus Oliveira, aged 18, was one of the participants in the event. He currently works at the company Sebo Jales, and highlighted the learnings related to mental health and how to deal with the challenges of the professional environment. "I leave here better understanding the importance of taking care of mental health and seeing feedback as opportunities for growth. I also learned that knowing how to position myself and develop emotional intelligence makes a difference in progress at work and in studies", he commented.
