The Civil Police confirmed the escape of four prisoners who were being held at the Lucas do Rio Verde Police Station, in the early hours of last Saturday (4). The detainees were awaiting transfer to the Provisional Detention Center.

According to the institution, the circumstances of the escape are still being investigated. Security forces began investigations shortly after discovering the escape. One of the fugitives, aged 35, has already been located and recaptured.
The search for the other three fugitives continues.
