Five precautionary measures granted by the Judiciary affect financial assets, 14 properties and 21 vehicles belonging to individuals and companies under investigation. The decisions authorized the blocking of values ??through the Judiciary Asset Search System (Sisbajud), up to a limit of R$ 5,470,870.81, in addition to sequestration, unavailability and asset restrictions on assets.
Among the assets reached by court decisions are apartments, houses, commercial properties, rural properties and shares in properties located in the states of Mato Grosso, Bahia and São Paulo. Restrictions were also determined on vehicles belonging to those investigated.
Property measures aim to prevent the transfer, concealment or dilapidation of assets during the course of investigations, ensuring the effectiveness of possible repairs for losses caused to public coffers.
The investigations are conducted by Defaz within the scope of the Mato Grosso Interinstitutional Asset Recovery Committee (Cira-MT), a task force made up of the Civil Police, State Attorney General's Office (PGE), State Finance Secretariat (Sefaz) and State Public Ministry (MPMT), aimed at combating tax evasion and asset recovery.
