The Chamber of Deputies approved this Wednesday (15) six provisional measures (MPs) that open special credit for several ministries. The resources will be used for civil defense actions, serving municipalities and families affected by extreme weather events, supporting family farming, strengthening actions to combat forest fires and environmental inspection, among others. The measures now go to the Senate for analysis

MP 1347/2026 opens extraordinary credit of R$285 million for the Ministry of Integration and Regional Development. The resources will be used to fund protection and civil defense actions aimed at the recovery of municipalities affected by climate disasters, such as floods and storms, in various regions of Brazil.

The estimate is that 2.8 million people will benefit, including more than 71.6 thousand homeless or homeless people. Among the planned actions are the reconstruction of public infrastructure, such as bridges and roads, to restore normality in the affected areas.

MP 1346/2026 opens extraordinary credit of R$20.5 million for the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Family Agriculture. The resources will be used to meet the reconstruction and financial support needs in areas affected by climate events in Paraná, especially in the municipalities of Guarapuava, Quedas do Iguaçu and Rio Bonito do Iguaçu, and to fund official credit operations.

The resources should be used to rebuild 8 community sheds, renovate 191 houses and build 10 new homes for affected families; granting credit for productive recovery, including specific support for women and young people; and mitigating the losses and suffering of families affected by tornadoes and storms, promoting the recovery of affected areas.

MP 1351/2026 opens extraordinary credit, in favor of the Ministry of Mines and Energy, in the amount of R$330 million. The amount will be used to support the import of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), with the aim of offering financial assistance to reduce the impact of the increase in cooking gas prices in Brazil, due to the conflict in the Middle East, involving Iran, Israel and the United States.

The conflict directly impacted the price of Brent oil, putting pressure on energy and fuel costs globally and also leading to a rise in the price of diesel, a fundamental fuel for cargo transportation, which made freight more expensive.

The economic subsidy for the import of LPG will be operated by the National Oil and Gas Agency (ANP). According to the government, the measure aims to reduce the price of gas cylinders for consumers, which has risen due to factors such as international conflicts and tax increases. The price of a 13 kg gas cylinder increased in several regions of Brazil from April 2026, reaching R$ 140.00 in some locations.

MP 1361/2026 opens extraordinary credit of R$75.35 million for the Ministry of Integration and Regional Development. The resource will be used to financially support families in Zona da Mata, in Minas Gerais, affected by extreme weather events.

The amount must be applied to meet the urgent need for financial support in areas with recognized public calamity, guaranteeing minimum subsistence conditions for those affected.

MP 1364/2026 opens extraordinary credit of R$49.2 million for the Ministry of Development and Social Assistance, Family and Fight Against Hunger to face the impacts of heavy rains and floods in Pernambuco and Paraíba, through food security actions and support for rural productive inclusion.

MP 1367/2026 opens extraordinary credit of R$337.5 million to the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change to finance actions to prevent and control forest fires and environmental inspection, carried out by the Institute of the Environment and Renewable Natural Resources (Ibama) and the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation (ICMBio).
