Digital influencer Karine Felipe de Sousa, known on social media as Káh Felipe, died this Friday (25), aged 31, in Fortaleza. The information was confirmed by the family through a publication on the content creator's official Instagram profile. According to the note, she passed away around 2 pm, after facing a long battle with cancer. With around 750,000 followers, Káh became known for sharing her routine living with xeroderma pigmentosum, a rare genetic disease that causes extreme sensitivity to ultraviolet radiation and significantly increases the risk of skin cancer.

In the farewell message, family members highlighted the influencer's strength and faith throughout the treatment. "Our warrior fulfilled her mission and left a legacy of strength, courage and, above all, faith. Faith was the word that best defined her. She believed until the end and fought with all her strength, without ever losing hope", says an excerpt from the publication.
Over the past few years, Káh has turned his own story into an awareness-raising effort on social media. In addition to showing the challenges posed by xeroderma pigmentosum, she used her reach to encourage early diagnosis and raise awareness about the care needed for those living with the condition.
In May this year, the influencer revealed to her followers that she had been diagnosed with terminal cancer after tests identified metastases in her bones, liver and lungs. At the time, she said that she would receive palliative care and described the moment as one of the most difficult of her life.
"Exams showed metastasis in the bones, liver and lung... and, since then, my days have never been the same. Now I have become a terminally ill palliative patient. These are difficult, uncertain days, full of pain and suffering. But, even if everything seems like the end, I will not give up. I will continue fighting every day of my life", she wrote.
Shortly before, Káh had already reported that the progression of the disease made the treatment increasingly complex, but reinforced that he would continue to face the situation alongside his family and maintain hope.
During her life, the influencer underwent more than 250 surgeries due to xeroderma pigmentosum, a condition that requires strict protection against sun exposure and permanent medical monitoring due to the high risk of developing skin tumors. Káh Felipe leaves behind her husband and three children, as well as a legacy of awareness, perseverance and faith shared with thousands of followers.
