Participating in Mais Você, on TV Globo, this Friday (7), the singer explained that she continues to enjoy dancing, dancing and enjoying life, but said that today she does everything more consciously, without using these moments as a way to escape her own feelings.
"I still love dancing, dancing, going out. It's just about doing it with intention, doing it without it being an escape. Doing it because you're feeling good and not because you're desperate", summarized the artist when talking about the new phase.
The interview took place in the middle of the tour to promote Equilibrium 2, an album that, according to her, represents a moment of personal transformation experienced in recent years. During the conversation with Ana Maria Braga, Anitta said that the project only got off the ground when she felt that she had really found an internal balance.
The singer explained that, before this process, she lived with constant anxiety and did not feel fully fulfilled, even though she was at the height of her career. It was precisely this restlessness that led her to begin a journey of self-knowledge.
"Before I didn't feel full, I was always anxious. I think a lot of people go through this and end up not realizing it. Then I started traveling, going on retreats and, when I was feeling really good, I said: 'Wow, I want to sing about this'", he revealed.
According to Anitta, the change happened little by little and involved different experiences. She said that she participated in meditation retreats abroad, in addition to meetings held in Brazil focused on therapies, reading and personal development, always accompanied by specialized professionals.
"There are some retreats that I do abroad, which involve a lot of meditation. There are others that I do here in Brazil, in the middle of the woods, doing therapies, reading, getting to know myself, looking at the difficulties I am having in my daily life. All of this with the help of therapists, psychologists, people who give me this light", he explained.
Although the public associates this period with changes in her appearance, Anitta said that the physical transformation was just a consequence of a time when she was still trying to understand herself.
She said that, at the time, she acted on impulse and today she can see that process more calmly.
"This physical change of mine came because I wasn't yet in the place where I am today, of feeling so whole. It's a process. There's a lot of back and forth. You think: 'I've arrived there'. Soon you realize that nothing has arrived. Now I think I've arrived, but maybe I haven't yet. Let's see what happens along the way. That's life", he reflected.
Today, according to the singer, her biggest objective is to share the discoveries of this period without rejecting the woman she was in the past. She stated that she learned that maturing does not mean erasing one's own history, but understanding each stage of the journey.
"When I felt really good, I thought: 'Now I'm overflowing with this peace'. And my therapist helped me understand how to do this without denying who I was, because when we find this place within ourselves, we tend to judge everything we did before as guilty", he concluded.
