Clodd Dias, actress from 'Manhãs de Setembro' and 'As Five', dies at age 49

The information was released this Friday (7) by the Union of Artists and Technicians in Entertainment Shows of the State of São Paulo and by the professional's agency. The cause of death was not reported.

The wake and burial will take place at the Vila Formosa Cemetery, in the east of São Paulo, on Friday afternoon.

Born in Itapetininga, in the interior of São Paulo, Clodd Dias began acting at the age of 14 and graduated from the Célia Helena Arts Center in 2001.

She stood out for her performance as Roberta, the best friend of the protagonist Cassandra, played by singer Liniker, in the 2021 series "Manhãs de Setembro", shown on Prime Video. The production is considered a milestone for trans representation in audiovisual. The role earned the actress the Archangel Culture Award in the same year.

Her CV includes performances in films such as "Dois Mais Dois", from 2021, "O Clube das Mulheres de Negócios", directed by Anna Muylaert, from 2022, and "Rodeio Rock", from 2023, in addition to the series "Notícias Populares", from 2022, and "Ayô", from 2025.

Clodd Dias was part of the second season of the drama and comedy series "As Five". Globoplay's production follows five young people who met years before the events of the soap opera "Malhação: Viva a Diferença".

On stage, the artist was in productions such as "Entrega para Jezebel", "Mãe de Santo", "Esperando Godot" and "O Céu Fora Daquela Janela" - the latter presented this year at Sesc Vila Mariana. She recorded the new series "Tarã", on Disney+, with Xuxa and Angélica in the cast, with no release date yet.
