There are acres of Tate Modern and (to a lesser extent) Tate Britain that are empty. No one wants a display like the Royal Academy summer exhibition. Teaching schoolchildren to cook real food might mean they rely less on fast food and takeaways, thus reducing obesity, improving health and saving money (Letters, 22 July).
