The value of the benefit varies from R$136 to R$1,621, depending on the number of months worked in 2024. The calendar continues staggered throughout 2026, according to the month of birth.
Who receives this batch
Of the total number of recipients in May:
• 3,840,487 are private sector workers, enrolled in the Social Integration Program (PIS), with payment made by Caixa Econômica Federal, totaling R$4.8 billion;
• 499,509 are public servants, enrolled in the Public Servant Asset Formation Program (Pasep), paid by Banco do Brasil, with a total of around R$600 million.
Who is entitled to the Salary Allowance
Workers are entitled to the benefit if:
• Has been registered with Pis/Pasep for at least five years;
• Worked with a formal contract for at least 30 days in 2024;
• Received average monthly remuneration of up to R$2,766 in the base year;
• Had the data correctly entered by the employer on e-Social.
Established by Law No. 7,998/90, the salary bonus can reach up to a minimum wage, proportional to the period worked. The resources come from the Worker Support Fund (FAT), with authorization made by the Ministry of Labor and Employment.
How payment is made
For private sector workers (PIS)
• Caixa Econômica Federal makes payments primarily by:
• Credit to Caixa current or savings account;
• Deposit into Digital Social Savings, processed via the Caixa Tem app.
Those who do not have an account can withdraw:
• With Social Card and password at lottery outlets, ATMs and CAIXA Aqui correspondents;
• At agencies, with official document with photo;
• Without a card, through registered biometrics.
For public servants (Pasep)
Banco do Brasil makes payment by:
• Credit to bank account;
• Transfer via TED or Pix;
• Withdrawal in person at branches, for those who are not account holders and do not have a Pix key.
