Woman has uterus removed after being drugged and raped by her partner

The couple maintained a stable union and lived in the same house for approximately two years. In testimony, the victim reported that he lost consciousness after receiving a substance from his partner.

After the sexual violence, the man allegedly called the emergency service when he noticed that the woman was bleeding heavily. She was taken to hospital and underwent an emergency operation due to the severity of her injuries.

In addition to the removal of the uterus, the victim suffered injuries to the intestine. Part of the organ had to be removed, and doctors placed a colostomy bag.

The medical team itself reported the case to the Civil Police after identifying signs of violence during treatment. Given the injuries caused, the episode began to be investigated as rape of a vulnerable person with very serious bodily injury, classified by legislation as a heinous crime.

The Civil Police requested the temporary arrest of the suspect, a measure later authorized by the Court. He remains detained and at the disposal of the Judiciary.

The woman was discharged from hospital and continues the recovery process at home.
