An American journalist managed to remain calm during live television coverage even though a flying cockroach was crawling around her neck.

Rachel Menitoff, who works for the KTLA television network in Los Angeles, United States, was doing a live broadcast about changing temperatures when the unexpected happened.

The reporter was in Sherman Oaks, California, on July 15, when she went on air and suddenly felt something landing near her face.

In the images, now reproduced online, a cockroach can be seen on her neck and traveling along part of it, while she maintained her posture and continued her work.

Professionalism in its maximum expression. Reporter Rachel Menitoff, from KTLA 5 Los Angeles, ended her relationship completely live... without losing her cool, even when a cuckoo started walking by her chest. Not a scream, not a pause, not a gesture of panic. El… pic.twitter.com/Re6DiX0pzs

The professional remained calm until the end of the report, after which she began jumping in an attempt to quickly remove the insect from her body.

“How come you didn’t move?” asks the cameraman, as soon as the broadcast comes to an end.

Rachel Menitoff not only remained calm but did not hesitate to joke about the situation. Recently, on his social networks he shared a video of the moment. "You're trying to steal my protagonism", she wrote, amused, in the caption of the publication.
