The statement makes reference to the long-range attacks carried out by Ukraine against Russian targets, mainly linked to the oil industry, which caused fuel shortages in several regions of Russia. According to Ushakov, Putin "described the real situation on the battlefield, where the Russian armed forces confidently advance, liberating one locality after another." On Friday (3), Russian commanders informed Putin that Moscow troops had captured the strategic city of Kostiantynivka, in the Donetsk region, in eastern Ukraine. On Saturday, Zelenskiy disputed the information and stated that Ukrainian forces still maintained control of the city.
