Hospital São Paulo, linked to the Federal University of São Paulo (Unifesp) reported this Friday, 17th, that it identified the presence of scorpions in an unoccupied room at the Material and Sterilization Center (CME)....
In a statement, the hospital stated that the CME is undergoing a structural renovation, with interventions on the floor and walls, including a renovation of the ceiling lining which is scheduled for the coming weeks.
Also according to the institution, this Thursday, the 16th, an inspection was carried out on the area's ceiling, in addition to a new pest control.
"Hospital São Paulo maintains a periodic pest control routine, with an updated pest control calendar, and adopts additional measures whenever necessary," it said in a note.
During the works, the unit stated that it temporarily reorganized the logistics of the Material and Sterilization Center, with the transfer of materials and adaptation of processes. According to the hospital, the changes did not compromise patient care.
