"I'm going to get in trouble for this," the rapper said jokingly. In the conversation, he also refuted speculation that his wife's hiatus was due to the couple's relationship and children.
The artist, winner of nine Grammy statuettes, is still one of the most listened to artists on platforms such as Spotify, where she has 100 million monthly listeners.
The last album before his break from music was "Anti" released in 2016, which has some of his biggest hits, such as "Work", "Love On The Brain", "Kiss It Better", among others.
Her most recent musical work was appearing on the soundtrack for last year's animation "Smurfs", with the track "Friend of Mine". She also voiced the character Smurfette in the English version of the film.
