According to the Military Police, the team was called to monitor the Guardianship Council after a complaint involving the child. At the scene, a counselor confirmed the situation to the agents.
Police officers found that the boy had blisters on his palms and marks consistent with burns.
According to the PM, the mother admitted to having caused the injuries. She said she heated a spoon and placed the object in her son's hands as a form of punishment, claiming that he had participated in an alleged theft.
After the confession, the woman was taken to the 16th Regional Police Station.
The Civil Police reported that the suspect gave a statement and was released. According to the corporation, the police authority understood that, at that moment, there were not enough elements to keep her arrested in the act.
The case will be investigated by the Sooretama Police Station.
