Milton turned 83 years old in October last year. In 2020, health problems weakened the singer. He appeared in photos in a wheelchair, had difficulty moving around and, in 2023, was diagnosed with Parkinson's.
The singer was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and dementia with Lewy bodies. This dementia is a disease without a cure, but appropriate medications can alleviate symptoms and delay cognitive losses. This is the third most common form of so-called dementia syndromes, behind Alzheimer's and vascular dementia.
