SÃO PAULO, SP (FOLHAPRESS) - Marcos Mion, 47, made a long outburst at the end of Caldeirão com Mion this Saturday (18) on Globo. The presenter celebrated the end of Churrascão do Mion, a series of live programs during the broadcast period of the World Cup by the broadcaster.

"Sad is the person who loses the capacity for enchantment, who can no longer feel the emotion of an achievement, of a significant moment", he began. "I'm going to open something with you. Wow, there's a sometimes very noisy part of the internet that criticizes me a lot for showing emotion, the excitement of making my dreams come true."

That's when he confessed that this ended up momentarily shaping his personality. "For a while, I was stuck, my brother, I killed the emotion inside me so, sadly, I wouldn't give gas to these internet haters," he stated.

"But I was weird in my own skin, you know? I wasn't feeling well," he continued. "Until I saw one of the great NBA players called Victor Wembanyama. He was being destroyed, a lot of criticism on the internet because he cried on the court, because he showed his emotion all the time."

"Then I heard him say the following phrase: 'I refuse to carry the weight of having to hide my emotions'. What wisdom, right? I learned there watching him, I learned a lot", he said.

He then thanked Globo for trusting him in putting him on air live during these last weekends. “It was the realization of a gigantic dream for me,” he said. "[It was] something that 5 years ago seemed completely impossible to me."

The presenter also announced that Churrascão do Mion should return in 2027 for a new season, with live programs shown from within a scenic city at Estúdios Globo. "It's an audience program daring, taking risks, breaking barriers", he praised. "Next year, this is how we want our meeting with you, real, without filter."
