Electoral Court orders blocking of R$ 227.7 thousand in accounts belonging to Bolsonaro's ex-wife
(FOLHAPRESS) - The Electoral Court ordered the blocking of up to R$227,700 in the bank accounts of Ana Cristina Siqueira Valle, ex-wife of former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL). She was convicted by the Federal District...
She was convicted by the Federal District Court of Auditors for irregularities in the application of resources from the electoral fund during the campaign in which she competed for the PP for a position as district deputy in 2022. She was not elected. The decision was taken after Ana Cristina failed to comply with the determination to pay off the debt resulting from the conviction.
Ana Cristina was contacted for the report on social media, but has not yet returned.
The judge also determined that the block could reach amounts deposited in a salary account, understanding that the debt exceeds the limit of 50 minimum wages provided for as an exception in the Code of Civil Procedure.
If blocking attempts do not locate sufficient values, the decision provides for an escalation of measures to locate assets. The court ordered searches to be carried out on vehicles registered in his name.
If movable assets are also not found, the Income Tax declarations of the last three years and the Declarations on Real Estate Operations must be consulted to verify the existence of properties.
Ana Cristina is a lawyer and was the second wife of former president Bolsonaro. The two had a son, Jair Renan Bolsonaro, who is a councilor for the PL in Santa Catarina. After the separation, she lived for a few years in Norway and later returned to Brazil.
