Eduardo says that Michelle acted immaturity and should not have posted criticism of Flávio

In a video, published on June 24, Michelle complained about the conversation with Flávio and stated that her stepson was harsh and mistreated her over the phone – something the pre-candidate denies.

"It was Michelle's immaturity. She could never have made that video. I believe that these issues, and I'm not going to comment any further so as not to spoil things, I think that internally we resolve these types of things", Eduardo told the Metrópoles portal this Tuesday (21).

The 03rd son of former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) also stated that he sees these "disputes for a space as coveted as that of the Presidency" as "natural". According to him, the friction shows that there is an expectation that elections will be "more to the right".

On the website, the former parliamentarian also stated that he does not plan to apply for citizenship in the United States and that he is not "thinking about it at the moment". He also said he wanted to return to Brazil.

"I want to return to Brazil. I didn't think about this issue of American citizenship. It's something that happens after five years with the green card, when there is the possibility of becoming an American citizen," he told the portal.

On Monday (20), Folha revealed that the former deputy obtained a green card. The document grants foreigners the right to live, work and study in the USA for an indefinite period of time.

According to Eduardo, the authorization provides "legal security" during his period in the country. He cited the case of former federal deputy and former director of Abin Alexandre Ramagem (PL-RJ), convicted for his involvement in the coup plot and also on the run.

In April, Ramagem was detained by ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement), the American immigration service, and was detained for two days.

"What happened to Ramagem doesn't happen to me because I have American residency. Ramagem was covered up, yes, by the American courts because he had an open asylum request. This gave him the opportunity to live legally in the United States, but in a more precarious situation", said Bolsonaro's son 03.

Eduardo also stated that the Federal Police tried to deport Ramagem by giving "a little chat" to the immigration service.

"The extradition process is underway [for Ramagem]. But, to speed it up, or because it didn't trust that the extradition would happen, the PF went after the deportation using ICE," he stated.

Like Ramagem, Eduardo was sentenced to prison by the STF (Supreme Federal Court). The sentence of 4 years and 2 months was imposed on the former deputy for his actions in defense of tariffs and sanctions on Brazil and court ministers.

The court understood that he tried to interfere in the process of his father, convicted of an attempted coup d'état. Eduardo did not hire lawyers and was represented by the DPU (Federal Public Defender's Office).

Green card holders are identified as LPR, from the acronym Lawful Permanent Resident (Legal Permanent Resident, in Portuguese).

According to the US immigration service website, remaining in this condition for five years is the easiest path and the main criterion for a person not born in the country to become a citizen.
