Boni hits back at internet user after being called 'gaga': 'No rudeness'

The controversy began when Boni explained that the theme used in Globo's main news program was inspired by the song "The Fuzz" and commented that part of the confusion among fans arose due to its similarity with "Summer of 68", by the band Pink Floyd. In the comments of the publication, a user wrote: "Boni is gaga, she forgot what she did."

Without going into confrontation, the executive responded calmly and asked for respect for the tone of the discussions. "For God's sake, no rudeness. We are here to tell stories, have fun and enjoy what is good. And what is good, above all, is that we research with care and affection", he said.

The response to the comment had repercussions among followers, who came to the defense of the former executive and praised the polite way in which he dealt with the criticism.

Recognized as one of the architects of modern television in Brazil, Boni commanded Globo's artistic and programming structure for decades, being responsible for decisions that helped consolidate the broadcaster's quality standards. Even after leaving his executive position, he continued sharing behind-the-scenes stories and interesting facts about his career on social media.

In 2024, after around seven decades of experience in the sector, Boni announced that he would leave the day-to-day running of TV Vanguarda, a Globo affiliate in the interior of São Paulo of which he is a partner. At the time, he informed employees that he would remain only a co-owner of the station, ending his participation in the day-to-day management of the company.
