Author of 'Ilariê', Xuxa's hit, lives in Ceará and works as a missionary

Responsible for hits that marked the presenter's career, such as "Ilariê" and "Tindolelê", Cid accumulated fame and fortune with the songs, which went beyond the borders of Brazil. "Ilariê", for example, was successful in more than 17 countries and closes Xuxa's show on the "The Last Flight of the Ship" tour, being performed in Portuguese, English and Spanish.

In an interview, the composer said that, despite his professional success, he did not feel fulfilled during that period of his life. "With all the money, fame and success, I had no happiness. I was a prisoner of my fame, my success and my money. I lived in a hotel room, I went out to the van, from the van to the show, from the show to the hotel. I did shows on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. And two shows a day on Fridays, Saturday and Sunday. I had no life. No one knows what a man's rot is when he starts to subvert himself. Cid Guerreiro currently lives in Aquiraz, Ceará, alongside his wife, Andrea Meirelles, to whom he has been married for 35 years. Father of two children and grandfather, he works as a gospel singer and missionary in an evangelical church. On social media, he introduces himself with the phrase: "Once an artist. Now a worshiper."
