The agreement was signed after the 14th Chamber of Private Law of the Court of Justice of Rio de Janeiro reformed the first instance sentence and ordered the singer to pay compensation. The movement was revealed by columnist Ancelmo Gois, from O Globo, and confirmed by the report.
Under the terms of the agreement, Anitta committed to paying R$33,000 and not appealing the decision. Meanwhile, the plaintiff will grant broad, general and irrevocable discharge, that is, she agrees that she has nothing left to complain about in relation to the case.
According to the ruling, the woman's video, originally published on her personal YouTube account in 2012, was shared by the singer on her social networks in April 2022, without authorization, accompanied by a reference to a recently released song. The author stated that the artist obtained financial gain from the misuse of her image.
Anitta's defense claimed that there was no misuse of the image, arguing that the video was already a meme widely spread on the internet and had been reproduced by several humor pages on social media. However, he was unsuccessful.
