Headquarters of the Superior Military Court (STM) in Brasília Reproduction/Google Street View The Superior Military Court (STM) identified a "cybersecurity incident" on its electronic portal about two weeks ago, on July 2. According to the Court, the website was temporarily taken offline while technical teams work on analyzing and recovering the systems. The failure only affected the institutional website, and did not cause damage to the court's internal systems or procedural progress. According to the STM, the technology teams adopted the measures provided for in the security protocols, isolated the affected systems and initiated procedures to investigate the incident and restore services. The Court also stated that it will release new information as there is technical confirmation, so as not to compromise the investigation or the security of the systems. The site is expected to be reestablished this Wednesday (15). "The Court Portal is temporarily unavailable. The STM's priority is to reestablish services safely and ensure continuity of service to the public", says the note.

The STM also said that the episode occurred in a context of cyber attacks recently recorded against other public institutions, but highlighted that each case has its own characteristics and is being analyzed individually.
