Pinheiral Police Station Disclosure/Civil Police A young man, aged 24, was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a woman, aged 43, on Sunday night (5) in Pinheiral (RJ). The case happened in Praça Brasil, in the Rolamão neighborhood, around 11:30 pm. Officers were on patrol at the address when they saw several people around a woman, who was lying on the ground. According to the Military Police, people at the scene told agents that the young man had attacked the woman.

As soon as she is discharged from hospital, the woman will give a statement at the police station. g1 contacted the medical unit to update the victim's health status and is awaiting a response. The Military Police also reported that the young man and a witness were taken to the police station. The suspect was interviewed and then released.
