Young man breaks into a car and runs over a group while trying to escape a fight on the coast of SP A 25-year-old man got into a car owned by a stranger and ran over a group of friends while fleeing a fight in São Vicente, on the coast of São Paulo. According to the police report, the confusion began when leaving an event, when he used the vehicle to escape the attackers. The case was registered with bodily injury, damage and self-defense. Monitoring cameras from a neighboring event house, which was unrelated to the fight, recorded the collective collision. To escape the attacks, the man got into a car that was parked with the engine running and the doors open. Security cameras recorded the moment he entered the passenger seat and moved into the driver's seat. He then reversed out of the parking lot and hit several people who were trying to stop him from fleeing. A 26-year-old singer and a 27-year-old hairdresser were injured and were taken to the Central Emergency Room, where they received treatment and were released. When she saw the attacked man approaching, she thought he had gotten confused and shouted to stop him from taking the vehicle, but ended up being hit when he broke into the vehicle and took off. She also said that a friend was inside the vehicle and was taken away when the suspect left the scene. However, this young woman preferred not to go to the police station. The hairdresser reported that he also tried to prevent the suspect from taking the car, but was hit by the open door and dragged a few meters when the driver reversed. The owner of the vehicle stated that he had parked to try to intervene in the confusion and, as he walked away, he saw the young man who had been attacked enter and flee with the car. The Civil Police, however, had access to surveillance images that show the boy being attacked and running towards the vehicle to escape.
