"My son didn't give up. Adriano managed to get firefighters and divers from outside. He didn't let my son be carried by the water to get home in a state of decomposition. I saw my son. God sent him home, even though he was dead, so I could see him for the last time", he said. The body underwent examinations at the Legal Medical Institute (IML) of Gurupi before being released to the family.
