The vehicle crossed the median on a curve, went into the wrong lane and hit the motorcycle on which the victim and her husband were riding. The woman died at the scene, before help arrived. The Fire Department, which was passing along the highway shortly after the collision, provided assistance, but she succumbed to her injuries and was confirmed dead. The victim's husband was rescued by the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) and taken to the João Pessoa Emergency and Trauma Hospital. According to initial information, he suffered minor injuries. Until the publication of this report, the hospital had not disclosed the man's health status. The identities of the victim and the driver of the car were also unknown.
