The situation caught the attention of a cyclist who was passing by and recorded images of the accumulation of rubbish. ? The agency also reinforced the request for the population to use the official disposal points available in the city. The pile of packaging caught the attention of physical educator Flávio Caires, who was passing by the place on a bicycle and decided to stop to record the situation. "I always come to train here along this road and then on Saturday morning I saw something white. I stopped to see what it was and it was this impressive scene of this pile of lunchboxes", he said. The packages were accumulated and some ended up in the water. "Styrofoam, a material that takes 500 years to decompose. So the person came, gathered it from here, I don't know for what purpose, threw all of it away, in this horrible scene. I was a little outraged to see it from here", said the cyclist. According to him, he has even found bathroom items thrown in the middle of the bush, like four sheets of glass shower. “I went home, got the car, collected it and now I’m trying to clean the glass to make an aquarium,” he said. For him, the impacts of irregular disposal end up returning to the population itself, as materials such as Styrofoam remain in nature for hundreds of years, can harm the soil and affect the environmental balance.
